CLOSURE ANNOUNCEMENT
We have now been notified by the Charity Commission that our request to close Diverse Leap has been approved.
If you need any support, please can you therefore contact Gloucestershire Connect and Offload instead.
Connect and Offload is a local charity that supports adults living in Gloucestershire who are experiencing wellbeing difficulties, such as anxiety, low mood or depression, including support for self-harm. They also provide support and information to friends, family, carers and professionals.
Are you suffering with anxiety, depression & other mental health issues?
Diverse Leap offers drop-in support hubs in Gloucester and Cinderford to anyone that needs it across Gloucestershire and the Forest of Dean.
The charity was started at the Redwell Centre in Gloucester at the end of 2021, with the aim of providing community-based support for people in Gloucestershire who are experiencing poor mental health and wellbeing.
Individual support & advice
If you need someone to talk to as a “listening ear” with empathy (and a cup of tea), someone who can give you informed advice and support, signposting you to professional sources of treatment and activities to promote positive mental wellbeing, we’re here to help.
All our volunteers are accredited Mental Health First Aiders and are passionate about making a difference to people’s lives. Indeed, many also bring their own lived experience to share.
OUR GOAL
Our goal is that no-one who visits Diverse Leap leaves us feeling lonely or hopeless, but instead is empowered and supported to take more control over their lives.
So, although we appreciate it can be tough to talk about our feelings and emotions, we encourage anyone who is feeling low or anxious to “take that leap” and come along and see us.
All our services are confidential and are provided completely free of charge.
Want to make a difference in the local community?
Diverse Leap is seeking volunteers to help local people who are suffering from anxiety and depression. There is no huge time commitment or experience required. We’re just looking for people who are good listeners and can be available for a couple of hours every now and then.
Full training (including Mental Health First Aid) will be provided.

Sponsor us or donate today!
A charity like Diverse Leap simply couldn't operate without sponsorship from local businesses and other organisations who kindly decide to contribute some of their Corporate Social Responsibility budget to local voluntary services like ours, so thank you to all our sponsors!
No amount is too small
In addition to these primary funding sources, we also welcome personal donations from concerned individuals who want to help too, so if you feel you'd like to help in this way, please click the Donate button below. No amount is too small and, as the famous supermarket saying goes, 'every little helps'!
Thank you.
